Video Conferencing to Connect Parents to Delhi Public School

When it comes to education, the role of video conferencing in distance learning is one which has been firmly established throughout the academic community. For example, TANDBERG, now part of Cisco, offers a grant service in order to help classrooms and school boards locate funding related to the purchase and installation of video conferencing equipment and software.

Typically in education, video conferencing focuses on students connecting with teachers across geographical boundaries. However, a recent story from Bangalore, India reveals that video conferencing can also have significant benefits for the parents of schoolchildren. The Delhi Public School (DPS) has begun distributing Cisco’s WebEx software tool to parents in order to help them connect to all three of the institution’s campuses.
